Stop the “Bleeding”: Leona Lewis confirms engagement to boyfriend of eight years

Maury Phillips/WireImageWhile it happened back in August, “Bleeding Love” singer Leona Lewis has now publicly confirmed that she and her longtime boyfriend, choreographer and dancer Dennis Jauch, are engaged.

On Instagram and Twitter, Leona posted a photo of herself and Jauch, writing, “My heart is singing the happiest song it’s ever sung! I’m bursting with joy and overcome with emotion that I get to embark on this new adventure with my best friend, my partner in crime, my ride or die!”

She adds, “@dennisjauch I can’t wait to be your wife — eeeek wife! What?! Argh! Hahahahaha I still can’t believe it I dreamed you up and you came true. The most caring, kindhearted and inspiring person I’ve had the privilege to know. now lets go have a big ol’ partyyyyyyyy.”

The photo was part of a shoot the couple did with People magazine.  In a statement, Leona tells the publication, “It’s amazing that we were brought together from different sides of the world through both of our passions, music and dance, while on tour in the U.K. eight years ago.”

She adds, “We are both quite private people, but we wanted to share our happy news with everyone that has supported us and watched our relationship blossom over the years. We are so thrilled to be on this new adventure together and it is a beautiful feeling to share that love with you all.”

Leona was recently seen on NBC’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, performing her Christmas song “One More Sleep.”
