Veterans Day to be observed in Webster City on Monday,November 12 with two services.

Webster City will honor the nation’s veterans at two services set for this Monday,November 12. The first service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Webster City Middle School. American Legion Post 191 will sponsor this service. The participants will include Sons of the American Legion member Derek Carr, Webster City school superintendent Dr. Mandy Ross, Webster City American Legion commander Marvin Carr, and Legion chaplain Bruce Johnston. The music for the ceremony will be provided by the middle school band directed by Ashton Reams. There will be a moment of silence at approximately 11:00 a.m. as the city sirens will be sounded in honor of America’s fallen veterans.

Webster City high school will have its Veterans Day service at 1:00 Monday afternoon in the high school gym with speakers and music to be featured. A lunch for veterans will be served at 11:50 a.m. in the school cafeteria.
