Jade EhlersHe’s not nominated, but MAX will be performing on the Oscar stage this year…about 12 hours after the awards show itself ends.
The singer has been tapped to perform a special rendition of his hit “Lights Down Low” on Live with Kelly and Ryan’s “After Oscar® Show,” which will air March 5, the day after the 90th Annual Academy Awards, at 9 a.m. ET.
During the show, which airs in national syndication, MAX will perform from the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, where the Oscar ceremony will take place. Oscar host Jimmy Kimmel will also be a guest.

Earlier this month, in honor of Valentine’s Day, “Lights Down Low” was featured as one of Snapchat’s worldwide lenses. Among the stars who used the lens — which made pink glasses with hearts appear on your face — were Kim Kardashian, Alicia Keys, Chance the Rapper and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz.
